Rajesh Krishnan works for Scientific Systems Company, Inc. where he is leading Airborne Networking and Disruption-Tolerant Networking efforts funded by AFRL and NASA. Earlier at BBN Technologies, he was principal investigator in the DARPA Disruption-Tolerant Networking (DTN) program, and lead architect of a policy-language framework for spectrum sharing in the DARPA Next Generation (XG) Communications program. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Boston University, with several publications and a decade of experience in the field of computer networking. He is Senior Member, IEEE and Senior Member, ACM.

He is an alumnus of Boston University (Ph.D. 2004, M.S. 1996), Boston, MA, USA; Regional Engineering College [now National Institute of Technology] (B.E. 1997), Durgapur, West Bengal, India; DAV Higher Secondary School (AISSCE 1987), Gopalapuram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India; and SRDK Vivekananda Vidyalaya (AISSE 1985), Tiruvottiyur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He worked for BBN Technologies (1997-2008); and TELCO [now Tata Motors], Jamshedpur, India (1991-1994). He was born in 1970 in Tiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, and he grew up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the southernmost state in India. He is a naturalized US Citizen and a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) since 2008.
